What the heck does "8 Hats High" mean?
Simple. We provide many services and therefore wear many hats.
Of course all of those services and hats offer our clients more reasons to
stick around and grow with us.
8 Hats High was originally formed to bring fun, creativity and a higher level of sophistication to the Hudson Valley through advertising, broadcast and web production services. Recently we have expanded our focus and now offer our services to advertising agencies, television production studios, and animation studios all over the East Coast. We bring our sense of fun and creativity to work with us and use it to give our clients exactly what they're looking for.
The Facility
8 Hats High animation and production is ready to help in any and all areas of production. We're here to get the job done with style.8 Hats High has recently expanded into a new facility at 23-27 West Main Street, in downtown Middletown. The new location, formerly Bull’s Opera House offers 8 Hats High the unique advantage of having a full sized video production studio in a bustling downtown setting.
With some planned renovations to the historic building, the company intends to make their studio the largest of its kind, in the Hudson Valley.

The Creators
John Grimaldi, Jr. - Executive Producer / Founder
erJohn graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for computer animation in 1999 and immediately found work as a digital ink & paint/composite artist at Tapehouse Toons in New York City. He worked on many projects while there including Disney's Lizzie McGuire, Saturday Night Live, TV Funhouse and more. John left in the summer of 2001 and finished his independent video project called One World. He continued to work on independent animation and video projects until February 2004 when he co-founded 8 Hats HIgh Animation and Production.
Goal
Our goal is to love what we do for a living. To work in a creative enviroment where everyone works together to produce a higher quality of work for our clients. We offer services to our clients without losing sight of our independent goal - to produce our own original ideas and content for Short, TV series, and feature films.
